    This is our second order of cacao from Marou in Vietnam. The beans from each region have a unique flavor, including thee from Ben Tre. Marou provides farmers throughout Vietnam with technical support and financial assistance by paying well over Fair Trade cocoa prices.

    Tasting Notes: Toasted, Malt Chocolate

    Ingredients: Organic cocoa beans, organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter.

    Manufactured in a facility that also processes: Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Peanuts, Almonds, Coconut, and Hazelnuts. Soy free. Vegan.

    It was my Lucky Day!

    During a family trip to Cincinnati last fall I stumbled upon Maverick Chocolate. It was my lucky day! In the store I was able to sample several of their chocolate bars so I could pick my favorites (a hard decision!). I left with a handful of delicious chocolate bars and have since reordered online and had them delivered to my home in Nashville. They support “Fair-For-All-Chocolate” and use ethically sourced ingredients so everyone benefits (from the farmer to the customer). It’s a win-win for chocolate lovers!

    4 Different & Delicious Bars

    I tried 4 different bars from Maverick Chocolate, Fahrenheit 513, Big Island Hawaii Dark, Hawaiian Coffee Special Reserve and Vietnam Dark. All bars were delicious and unique and there are accurate description on the Maverick website. My favorite is the 513 with it's excellent level of spiciness with goes so well with the dark chocolate texture and flavor. Also, I was more than pleased with the Vietnam Dark. It has such a unique flavor profile and is truly a treat!
